During the Mid-20th Century, drivers were bombarded with signs, billboards, and anything else businesses could employ to attract motorists’ attention and get them to stop.

The American Giants Museum will feature rotating exhibits in addition to its permanent exhibits. The current American Giants Rotating Exhibits feature a original tomahawk once held by a Arizona Muffler Man in addition to a 5’ tall giraffe head.

Check-in periodically to see new items in this changing exhibit space. The giraffe head replaced a Uniroyal Gal foot used for the 2024 season.

The main exhibit at the AGM is the original 1967 Texaco Big Friend that stands outside the Museum. This giant is one of 6 remaining Texaco Big Friends that still stand today and one of only 3 that has been restored to his former glory.

This Texaco Big Friend once stood at a Texaco Station in Las Vegas and was recovered in 2016 and restored in 2024. He stands almost 24’ high and is open year route for pictures and visits. More information about him can be found inside during open hours.

A rotating collection of International Fiberglass giants, including a Cowboy, a Viking, a waving giant, a Snerd, and a Midas Man, will join the rare 24’ tall Texaco Big Friend on the grounds of the American Giants Museum.

Designed as The Route 66 Land of the Giants Rest Stop, this unique area outside the American Giants Museum offers picnic tables, a vintage bubbler water fountain, and a photo op amidst a forest of giants.

A Texaco Big Friend is the featured attraction on the grounds of the American Giants Museum.
