So this is Izzie. Izzie has a Baker Six speed with reverse on her 2007
Road King. She’s going to talk a little bit about it.

It’s a 2007 model. And, for anybody out there who has this disease that I have, which is called the short leg syndrome, where you think your legs are longer than they really are and you try to put them down, back up a hill, and you can’t do it.

You always ride around. You try to find spots, something that you get into or you get out. Not have to worry about looking like an idiot or dropping your bike
so with that being one of my problems, there are a couple options that I could have had.

One: where reverse is actually part of the starter, but I really didn’t like that idea. You have a little lever down here on the lever, and they just started holding and steps like that back, and you could burn out that starter. I’m trying to go back up the hill or something like that.

So the other option that was, that was something where the speed with the reverse and with that one works a little different.

You can see it right here. But when you do get one, okay. For my bike a Road King 2007 I used to have a 2 into 1 exhaust, but when I put this on, the two into one would no longer go, so I had to switch it over and it worked out fine. It’s pretty good. I don’t mind it.

But, so some of the bikes you can have this one, this particular bike you could not. So I was stuck with, the two bolts in a new two that so what it does, but actually loosens up the transmission, puts a whole transmission gears in there,
and it allows you to have another, speed on your bike.

So you have top one down, which we all know is first gear. I would hold this lever here on the handlebars. I don’t know if you can see it, but you pull this, you pull the clutch and pull this lever out, and then you can drop it down
a second gear.

And that will lock this in, and you’ll be in second gear, and the bike will back up
as fast as you want to go. Let me tell you something. If you start going too fast,
you’re going to drop this bike. So you have to really know how to use the clutch and back it up really nice.

You could probably do burnouts backwards. That’s what I know. But I would never want to do that when I kill myself. You know, if it’s like a demonstration
of actually how it works. And it’s a great thing. I mean, it’s it’s pretty pricey. I started putting it in reverse gear. But if you have short legs and you love
your bike, it’s something I really enjoy.

Yeah, I would confess, it’s a great thing, I never really ever at all where I’m just like, I park in the grass going back to school. I didn’t have a problem going back.

Right now I’m park on an incline going backwards and, I backed it up. You know, you don’t have to have everybody helping, so it’s great.

Well, let me start bike and, I’ll show you how it works. Because this. Right now it’s in neutral. You can see a single drop here. Now, it’s in first.

Next thing I want to do is I want to pull this lever out pull my clutch in and brake. Push it down. One more. Here.

Now I’m actually in second, which is reverse gear. I have to ride it like you’re riding a regular motorcycle. Except I’m going to go backwards. I’m going to. I feel I’m not pushing at all. I’m putting my feet down, you know, to keep my balance. When you’re done, kick it up one, and the lever goes back in. That’s back in now. It won’t go down in the second, unless you pull that lever up here..

That’s it. It’s pretty cool. Best thing that I’ve ever done for my bike. I couldn’t live without it anymore. If I ever get another bike, I’d do the same thing again.

Reversing it? That’s about it. If you have short leg syndrome, you think you’re tall. You’re not. Go with Baker. Great.

Thank you. Thanks, Izzy.
