I am a volunteer firefighter, EMT, advanced EMT, and I am a Stop The Bleed instructor. The reason I’ve been asked for this is that we all know motorcycling is not the safest hobby you can have. It is actually very dangerous. And when you are involved in a wreck, it can be very, very life threatening. To that end, if you come up on a wreck or if you’re in a wreck and on your own, it’s great if you have the ability to stop the bleed or to render some first aid.
On Stop the Bleeds website, you can get kits ranging from $79 to $480, depending on what all you want in them. The comparable kit to the one in this video is about $79.
I also showed a new kit that I bought off Amazon, which is bigger, is bulkier, but does have a few extra things that are nice to have. This one on Amazon. This is an EVERLIT Emergency Trauma Kit. And this is $69.95, so it’s not a bad deal.
Again, this is kind of bulky. You may not have room for this on your bike. And that’s where this will get the job done. And it fits fine in the corner of a saddlebag.
